Traveling Quick Guide for Delegates
Travel & Visa Information – United Kingdom
1. Plan Ahead
Delegates are strongly encouraged to plan their travel well in advance to ensure a smooth journey to the United Kingdom for the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit.
2. Travel Documentation
Ensure that you have a valid passport (your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay). The UN Global Compact Secretariat will facilitate and secure all necessary visas for registered delegates, including supporting documentation and embassy coordination.
3. Registration Documents
The UN Global Compact will maintain copies of your Summit registration confirmation, payment verification, and related documentation on file. Delegates are advised to keep personal copies of these documents for reference.
4. Flight & Accommodation
The UN Global Compact will arrange and cover the cost of round-trip airline tickets for all registered delegates.

Visa Requirements – United Kingdom
The UN Global Compact will manage the entire visa application process on behalf of registered delegates. This includes:
- Preparation and submission of visa applications to the relevant UK Embassy or Consulate.
- Issuance of official invitation and support letters confirming delegate participation in the Leaders Summit.
- Coordination with consular authorities to facilitate timely visa approval.
- Delivery of visa confirmation documents directly to delegates before travel.
Delegates are only required to ensure their passport validity (minimum of six months beyond their stay) and provide proof of hotel reservation at The Royal Garden Hotels. All other visa arrangements will be completed by the UN Global Compact Secretariat.
Travel Expenses
The UN Global Compact will cover the following expenses for all registered delegates:
- Round-trip international airfare
- UK entry visa costs and processing
- Official accommodation (must be secured through The Royal Garden Hotels)
- Airport transfers and local transportation related to the Summit

The UN Global Compact is committed to ensuring the participation of all confirmed delegates by fully managing the logistics of travel, visa issuance, and airfare. Delegates are reminded that hotel accommodation must be arranged only through our sponsorship partner hotel, The Royal Garden Hotels, as part of the registration confirmation process.
